I was almost 38 weeks pregnant.

It was a Thursday I went to the doctor for my weekly check-up. I had been having some major cramping and even threw up the previous weekend. Oh and you know. Other very obvious signs that labor could happen sooner than later. [See aren't I nice? I do leave out some information.] I asked the doctor "So what do you think? Will labor be soon? I feel like it will be." And her response "Sorry, you bought yourself at least another week."
That Friday I went into labor. She was wrong. I was right. (Even though I told myself at the time the doctor was right. But I knew. I just knew.)
Audrey was born Saturday morning. Almost a year ago.
I can't wait to celebrate her birthday on Sunday.

Oh my k-ankley sister. I gained 65 pounds when I was pregnant. 20 pounds in each ankle and another 25 that I used as a seat cushion. (Ahem.)
Happy birthday Audrey!
Oh the memories! Our Nemo was born 11/13 so I am right behind you and OH MY GOSH did I have cankles :) Enjoy your girl and her birthday weekend! Makes you want another...huh?
awww, I love the re-cap! And BTW - I hope the compression socks helped with the kankle situ. :p But one of my favorite parts of Women's Health clinicals was determining a woman was in labor - & then seeing her with her newborn 2 weeks later!! So glad to be a part of yours & Audrey's lives! XO
I swear docs sometimes just try to act all knowing. Mine told me I had a while still and my son came the next day three weeks early, lol
Happy Early Birthday to your baby girl!
Ohhhh, this picture makes me REALLY miss pregnancy. So hard to believe that a year has passed!
First taste of mother's intuition- so amazing, isn't it?? Happy first birthday, Audrey!! I hope you all have a fabulous time! Those first birthdays are so special... and for me bittersweet! xo
