[I made this banner out of burlap, ribbon, and used a stencil to paint the letters. Super, easy. I like the reminder that it brings as it hangs in our living room.]
Sometimes it seems so much easier to think about all my wants, instead of my haves. I want those new pair of shoes. I want a bigger house with a master bathroom. I want to go on vacation. I want new dishes. But in all reality, I have so much. So much more than I will ever need.
So I'm searching for contentment and giving thanks for what I already have. I'm so thankful for my home, my sweet swaggerwagon that I drive everywhere that pretty much screams I'm a mom, the camera that I have to capture the little moments, my hard-workin' husband, my two little girls, and especially thankful for good health in my family. Oh, and I am thankful for Nutella. [Have I mentioned how much I love food?] If you have not tried that stuff, you should stop reading this and go to the store right.now (they sell it at Target). Nutella is the perfect excuse to have
What is something you are giving thanks for this holiday season?

I LOVE that decoration. I might come steal it.;) Seriously, though, I also do not decorate before Thanksgiving. I especially don't think it's right to decorate before Veteran's Day... I feel like both important holidays get brushed aside.
What a wonderful combination in your decorations! I didn't mean that to rhyme. I promise! It does look very interesting, but fun as well. Good job!
What is something I am thankful for? A healthy pregnancy! But, that is just one item. Would you like to know the rest? LOL
Just found your blog, and I love that you are a babywearing, camera-carrying, blogging sister-in-Christ. Glad to meet ya!
I have already bookmarked you.
Love the banner!
And please tell me you didn't mention Nutella. Because I finally finished the ginormous tub of it I bought a few months ago and promised myself I would not cave again :)
At the moment I am thankful for my husband's new work schedule which allows us to see him more every day. I'm thankful that he's a sweetheart and will sometimes randomly say, "Hey, let's go get you a drink from Starbuck's!" for no apparent reason. And I'm thankful that my littlest boy still looks like a baby when he sleeps -- balled up fists, puckery lips and all.
I like your banner! This makes me a little sad that I am not hosting Thanksgiving this year. I did it for the last two years, but this year we are flying to Colorado to visit my inlaws. I always decorate for christmas the weekend after thanksgiving. Can't wait to see Benton stare at the twinkling lights on his first tree.
Great post. I definitely feel ya on the have/want subject. I need a daily reminder that God has provided precisely what I need in all circumstances. Those darn marketers know just how to reach me...did I mention daily battle? :)
I'm extremely thankful for Jesus, my hubsters who provides not only stability but also great humor, cinnamon rolls and of course, the little chicky that is on course to arrive in February! Which makes me suddenly aware that I am grateful for sleep these days, as well!...because Lord knows it will be scarce all too soon (but well worth it!) :)
Happy weekend to you!
